Ce projet de maison aborde l’avenir de l’habitat aux UAE par une architecture biologique, à la manière d’un être vivant, en congruence avec son milieu, et son climat tout en se parant d’une écriture inspirée de l’architecture vernaculaire locale. Les constructions vernaculaires traditionnelles étaient d’ailleurs une forme d’architecture biologique pragmatique qui se composait par le climat et l’environnement. Il s’agit ici de retrouver le bon sens du passé pour composer une architecture du futur avec l’appoint d’ingénierie contemporaine.

Cette maison ne doit ni être une machine à habiter technologiquement complexe, ni pour autant être une architecture de la décroissance, mais elle doit au contraire permettre à ses habitants de profiter d’un nouvel art de vivre aux UAE alliant confort contemporain d’une architecture en phase avec son environnement futur et son histoire passée.

Ce projet de maison est une hybridation entre nature et culture, par une architecture qui s’inspire du vivant. C’est en ce sens que cette maison s’adapte à son milieu en utilisant les principes biologiques de l’homéothermie afin de conserver une température constante malgré le climat et les influences de l’environnement.

L’architecture résidentielle du futur est une articulation entre les éléments qui constituent le milieu environnant : le climat, le vent, le sable, la lumière, la terre, l’eau, etc. et la manière de vivre que propose cette architecture aux usagers, le tout ne faisant qu’un.

This house project addresses the future of housing in the UAE through biological architecture, in the manner of a living being, in congruence with its environment and climate, while adorning itself with a style inspired by local vernacular architecture. Traditional vernacular buildings were, in fact, a form of pragmatic organic architecture that was shaped by climate and environment. The aim here is to rediscover the common sense of the past, and use contemporary engineering to create the architecture of the future.

This house should neither be a technologically complex living machine, nor an architecture of degrowth. On the contrary, it should enable its inhabitants to enjoy a new art of living in the UAE, combining contemporary comfort with an architecture in tune with its future environment and pasthistory.

This house project is a hybridization of nature and culture, with architecture inspired by the living. In this sense, the house adapts to its environment, using the biological principles of homeothermy to maintain a constant temperature despite climate and environmental influences.

The residential architecture of the future is an articulation between the elements that make up the surrounding environment: climate, wind, sand, light, earth, water, etc., and the way of life that this architecture proposes to users, all rolled into one.
